One of your best opportunities to get a unique insight into life as a member of the Bath Rugby team will come on Saturday 8th August at the Recreation Ground, as the Club hosts its unmissable FREE Family Festival of Rugby to launch the 150th anniversary celebrations.
A series of insightful question-and-answer sessions with key individuals at the Club – focusing on nutrition, strength and conditioning and the Academy system – will culminate in a Q&A with Head Coach Mike Ford. These Q&As will enlighten you on what players eat, how they train and all the other things it takes to be a top-class professional rugby player – straight from the experts themselves.
The tempo of any match is often set before kick-off, so if you want to see where the Bath players get themselves ready before running out in front of the roaring crowds at the Rec, there will be exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of the team changing rooms.
Our special passing and kicking clinics are now sold out, but there are plenty more activities taking place for the whole family to enjoy a brilliant day out at the Rec.
From 9.30am onwards, popular children's character Tractor Ted will be bringing some farming amusements to the day, with some help from Bath Rugby's Junior Membership Club leader Maximus and some of the Bath Rugby squad. There will also be Tots Tag and Touch Rugby sessions running all day.
