Macpherson has a longstanding association with Bath having worked with a high number of the club’s players over the past 10 years.

He has contributed positively to the environment over the course of the 2022/23 season and everyone at the club would like to wish him the best of luck for the future.

“Don has made a difference to our group over the past season,” van Graan added.

“He always has a smile on his face and wants the best for people. We have enjoyed having him in our environment and we are thankful for all his hard work since 11 July.

“We wish him all the very best for the future.”

“It has genuinely been a privilege to be Mind Coach of the club I love across two occasions,” Macpherson said.

“I have been fortunate to be in the unique position of working on the mental skills of extremely talented individuals for a long time with one goal in mind: for everyone to be happy, healthy and to maximise the opportunities they have. I hope I’ve been able to contribute positively.

“Johann entrusted me to carry out my work and make a difference, and I value that trust. I have been brought close to the heart of a wonderful rugby club and have grown rewarding and challenging relationships which will never be forgotten.

“I would like to thank the players and the rest of the staff at Bath for their generosity, their confidence and their time throughout my time here.”
