St Barnabas Visit the Rec for Inspiration

St Barnabas in Devizes are an Associate School of the Bath Rugby Foundation, which means they are working with the Foundation to inspire young children in a number of their school subjects.  Last term they did Tackling Numbers, which was delivered by Vicky Heslop, Foundation Education Manager, and Jimmy Deane, Foundation Manager.  This involved an hour of maths, which was rugby themed in the classroom, and then they enjoyed an hour of tag rugby outside, which also had maths thrown in!The second project of this association began last Tuesday when two classes totalling 60 children, visited the Recreation Ground for four hours.  Each group spent two hours doing a tour of the ground;  this included viewing the changing rooms, looking at trophies in the clubhouse and visiting the IPL stand.
