Rode Primary Tackling Numbers with Bath Rugby

Vicky Heslop, Bath Rugby Foundation’s Education Manager visited Rode Primary School today and delivered the fourth session of Tackling Numbers, an interactive numeracy programme for young children, developed and delivered by Premiership Rugby in partnership with MBNA. “It is going really very well.  Today the children are looking at different units such as, what is metric, and what is imperial and how to measure with these different properties.”Vicky had the children from Years 3 and 4 measuring their hand spans, their feet and their heights and writing down the whole of the measurements of the class on a special chart.  This was followed by using the students’ height to calculate Danny Grewcock’s hand span by using a graph.
