On mood in camp following Exeter Chiefs defeat

"Frustration is probably the main feeling. Especially from a forward point of view. It was embarrassing, we were pushed over our own try line four times at the set piece. That shouldn't happen all season let alone in one game. You can make excuses and you can look at systems or you can look at technical or tactical things but I think we need to take responsibility for it. You have to look at each other and have honest conversations, difficult conversations, and fix it from within. If you can't do that then you're not going to get the honest answers and the honest approval that you need."

On aspiring to be better with silverware ambition

"You've got to win your next game. I think if you asked Exeter Chiefs why they think they are good then I think they would say they just need to win the next game. Rugby is a simple game, you don't need to worry about La Rochelle in three weeks' time or Scarlets or the Christmas period. You just worry about what's in front of you. Today we had a defence session, we put our next step forward, get ready for Friday, and then ready to play Saturday. Maybe that's what they do better than others but that's what we need to start doing here."

On training this week

"Training isn't reaction-based anymore, it's planned. It's now people's jobs to plan the metres and plan the reps. They have been planning that in from three weeks ago to beyond Christmas so it's not reactive anymore. Obviously, you change the areas of the game that need working on but the beating side of it is old school now and it rarely happens."

On Worcester Warriors test

"There is no added pressure this weekend. It's another opportunity to put the Bath jersey on again, it's another opportunity to go out there and do your job for the team, and that all I see it as for me. It's to go out there and do set piece, headbutt some shins, carry the ball and hopefully let the boys outside me with some talent, score some tries."
