More than 4,000 supporters headed to the Rec for the last game of the season at the home of Bath Rugby and were treated to a spectacle with the home side running in 12 tries in a bruising encounter.

Darren Atkins scored a hat-trick from the wing, with Levi Davis also notching a double from the opposite flank in the 76-0 victory. However, a lot of credit has to go to the visitors, who bought great intensity to the encounter - Rgr Chris Leathem (Army) was one of the standout players with a number of mazy runs from fullback.

The funds collected on the evening will go towards providing lifelong support for the Armed Forces community – serving men and women, veterans and their families.

Managing Director, Tarquin McDonald, said: "We are delighted with the amount of money raised for the Royal British Legion at the Bath United game, and would like to thank everyone who attended the game and who gave so generously.

"As a club, we enjoy a strong relationship with the Armed Forces, and these annual games are an extension of that. Everyone at the Rec enjoyed a great evening, a great game of rugby, and gave generously to a really worthy cause."
