Exeter Chiefs were put to the sword in a five-try display at The Rec at the end of March while Gloucester were defeated in similar fashion in their own backyard.

A brilliant away victory at Twickenham over Harlequins followed this weekend leaving Bath with an opportunity to secure Heineken Champions Cup rugby.

It shows the progression and development of the Blue, Black and White who are building heading into the 2023/24 campaign.

British & Irish Lion Finn Russell and Rugby World Cup-winning Springbok Thomas du Toit will add to a talented, hungry group and the likes of Charlie Ewels and Will Muir will feel like new signings following long stints out.

Add to that the continuity of renewing Cameron Redpath, Ben Spencer, Joe Cokanasiga, Sam Underhill, Tom Dunn, Will Stuart, as well as recruiting Alfie Barbeary, Ted Hill and Ollie Lawrence, and the future looks bright.

Plans for the club’s new stadium will go on show in May at public and online consultations further contributing to positive feel around Farleigh House.

Saturday 6 May, where there will be an opportunity to view the stadium plans, is Bath’s final game of the season against Saracens – an opportunity to unite at The Rec for one final time in Head of Rugby Johann van Graan’s first term before looking forward to an eagerly anticipated 2023/24.
