McConnochie has enjoyed a successful first season in the Blue, Black and White Following his switch from the sevens circuit and picked up Most Improved Player, Best Back and Supporters’ Player of the Season award. The Olympic silver medallist is also in the running for top try scorer, with six tries to his name with one game left to play.

Mercer took home the Players’ Player of the Year award following a stand-out season for the Club. The back-rower has been instrumental throughout the campaign, with the 21 year-old winning his first cap for England in the Autumn.

This year’s Try of the Season Award went to Joe Cokanasiga for his try against Wasps in the Heineken Champions Cup. A flowing move started in the midfield was finished in spectacular fashion by the imposing winger.

Miles Reid came away with the Academy Player of the Season Award after a breakthrough season for Bath Rugby. Born and bred in the city, Reid has come through the pathway playing for Beechen Cliff, the University of Bath before making his Gallagher Premiership debut against Saracens at Allianz Park earlier in the campaign. Reid played a starring role in the home fixture against the Champions, as he helped the Blue, Black and White to an 18-9 victory in March.

Trevor Smith won the Spirit of Rugby Award, which recognises unsung heroes at grassroots level. Chosen by the public, Smith has been the Manager of the Colts team at Wimborne RFC for 15 years and has played an integral role in developing a young team and instilling the core rugby values at the club.

Dave Attwood (150), Tom Dunn (100), Anthony Perenise (100), Jonathan Joseph (100) were also recognised for reaching milestones during the 2018/19 season.

The Club also paid tribute to Todd Blackadder, Toby Booth, Darren Edwards, Allan Ryan and all the players leaving the Club at the end of the season.
