He was key to England’s run to the 2019 Rugby World Cup final and has scored three tries in his past six outings in white.

Bath captain Charlie Ewels and prop Will Stuart also feature in the matchday 23. Ewels will earn his 20^th cap, starting an international fixture for the eighth time of his career while Stuart is named as a replacement.

Meanwhile, Taulupe Faletau continues for Wales as they seek to add their fourth win of the tournament against Italy.

The back rower has been in inspired form for club and country of late, winning man of the match for his performance in his Wales’ victory over England in Round 3.

“Toby has been doing a great job for both us and Wales during the Six Nations campaign,” Hooper said.

Finally, loosehead Jamie Bhatti has been selected for Scotland’s contest against Ireland at Murrayfield.

Bhatti receives his call-up after taking his game to another level during his time in Somerset, following his arrival in December 2020.

“Scotland have been really pleased with Jamie’s progression during his time with us,” Hooper said.

“He has worked extremely hard to improve all areas of his game, in particular his fitness and scrummaging which have progressed significantly over the past few months.

“His hard work has been rewarded by his national team and we are very happy he will be in international colours on Sunday.”
