The Bath Rugby centre entered the field in the final quarter and played a part in the Scots’ final try in their 26-14 win at Murrayfield.

Redpath was making his fifth cap for his country.

In the Under-20s competition, England’s Sam Harris and Scotland’s Eddie Erskine ended their tournaments on the losing side but it was an eight-week period to be proud of for both of them.

Harris ended the U20 Six Nations as England’s highest points scorer after starting at full-back in all five matches. He added a penalty and a conversion to his tally but his team came unstuck against Grand Slam-winning Ireland.

Erskine debuted for Scotland Under-20s at the start of the tournament and earned his first run out in the four jersey in Round 5. The 19-year-old completed 63 minutes in the loss to Italy, making 15 metres from four carries and defensively showing up with nine tackles made.

Meanwhile, Billy Sela, Jack Bennett and Ieuan Davies all started in England Under-18s narrow defeat against France at Esher Rugby Club.

In tough conditions, the French came back to win 29-24 in a close encounter.
