Our matchdays at The Rec are regarded one of the best in the Premiership. From the atmosphere in the fan village, to the cheering that echoes around the streets of Bath as the Blue, Black and White crash over the try-line – you are part of it all.

With a new Head of Rugby and a plethora of new player signings, we wanted to extend the introduction of new incentives to our dedicated supporters; Bath Rugby’s matchday ambassadors are another new addition this season.

Providing a smiling face, lending a helping hand, and sharing their knowledge of a matchday, our ambassadors will be there to help supporters, both home and away, enjoy their matchday and all of the great things The Rec has to offer.

We currently have five matchday ambassadors in place and we want to grow our ambassador family so we can have a representative at dedicated spots around the ground.

If you feel like you can do any of the below, we want to hear from you!

Direct supporters around the ground and to their seats;
Provide accessibility support to disabled supporters;
Represent the club in the city, guiding fans to the stadium from the train and bus stations;
Provide fellow fans with matchday information;
Help supporters with queries regarding the fan village;
Welcome and interact with both home and away supporters;
Meet and greet hospitality guests and direct them to the right location inside the stadium;
Monitor crowd behaviour and report any safety concerns;
Be a smiling face and represent the club.

Ambassador benefits

Those who volunteer with us will receive full matchday training, making sure you’re equipped with the knowledge to answer supporters’ queries. You’ll be provided with a meal token to make sure you’re fed on the day, and if you’re not already a ticket holder* you’ll catch parts of the game along with the rest of The Rec faithful. You will also be given your own ambassador’s kit to wear on matchdays so you are identifiable to supporters.
