The Blue, Black and White head to London Irish for a midweek encounter at the Gtech Community Stadium – a replacement fixture for both sides following Wasps and Worcester Warriors’ withdrawal from the competition.

Irish still have an opportunity of qualifying for the knockout stages with Bath looking to continue their developmental approach with many youngsters earning game time in the tournament.

The latest Bath debutant, Archie Griffin, took to the field against Exeter Chiefs in the last round and his opportunity extended to a maiden Gallagher Premiership outing against the same opponents at Sandy Park on Christmas Eve.

Tom Carr-Smith and George Worboys have also made the step up in the league this season having featured in the Cup, while the likes of Orlando Bailey, Max Ojomoh, Miles Reid and Josh Bayliss are now regular senior squad players having debuted in the competition over the past few years.

Bath will continue to blood its young players in the Premiership Rugby Cup and develop their potential as much as possible, as well as give those recovering from an opportunity of minutes.
