The Foundation have recently teamed up with five Wiltshire Secondary Schools to increase participation in girls rugby at Secondary School level.  Yesterday they visited Matravers Schools in Westbury.  The other schools involved are: St Laurence Secondary School (Bradford on Avon), Kingdown Secondary (Warminster), Melksham Oak Community School (Melksham) and St Augustines Secondary School (Trowbridge).  They have all  taken part in the West Wilts Girls Rugby initiative to increase confidence in players and numbers at training sessions. The training sessions move around the schools, with each school hosting one training session and the group of girls meeting once a month.  Coaching is delivered by qualified Bath Rugby Foundation coaches.  The sessions are co-ordinated by Emily Reynolds who is the School Games Organiser for West Wilts Schools Sports Partnership.  The initiation concludes with an event at the Wiltshire Schools Games in July 2012, where all schools will compete. .
