During half time at the Bath Rugby v Sale Sharks match at the Recreation Ground last weekend, four Warminster schools put on a fantastic half time tag display.  The schools New Close Primary, St John’s Primary, Sambourne Primary and Heytesbury Primary all took part in the Aviva Premiership Rugby Schools Programme and put on an exciting display that had the crowd cheering an on their feet. There was also a big surprise for the schools when Bath Rugby asked them all to be the guard of honour for the match, which they all thoroughly enjoyed. The Aviva Premiership Rugby Schools Programme is an initiative aimed at introducing over 36,000 young people to the sport through Tag Rugby.  The scheme is run by Premiership Rugby along with the 12 Aviva Premiership Rugby clubs and is expected to involve 600 primary schools, with 1,200 teachers also receiving training.
