There will be a developmental focus for the Blue, Black and White in the competition with the team led by Assistant Coach Luke Charteris, who will be supported by Head of Academy Craig Lilley and Academy Performance Coach Ryan Davis.

A graduate from the Under-18s in the summer, England Under-20 international Sam Harris will start at full-back with 18-year-old Welsh centre Louie Hennessey in the midfield. Both will make their senior debuts for the club.

Twenty-two-year-old JJ Tonks is another to debut with Michael Etete, who featured in BUCS Super Rugby last season, also in line for his first appearance from the second row.

In the front row, Academy graduates Arthur Cordwell and Tom Doughty pack down alongside Johannes Jonker while Tom Ellis will captain Bath from blindside flanker on his return from long-term injury. Academy duo Ethan Staddon and Nahum Merigan complete the back row.

Max Green and George Worboys pair up in the half-back slots while Gabe Goss and Will Butt are named in the 11 and 12 jerseys respectively. Ruaridh McConnochie will add experience to the backline – his first competitive outing since January.
