2013 – Bath Rugby 31-25 Gloucester Rugby

It was Bath that got off the mark first, as Matt Banahan put a clever kick through the Gloucester defence, which resulted in a penalty try as Tom Biggs was felled by Charlie Sharples as he looked to touch down.

Gloucester got back in the game, as Henry Trinder charged down a Bath clearance to open their account at the Rec. Jonny May got his side back into the game after a slick attacking move, which saw the winger cross in the corner.

Bath found themselves back in front with Tom Heathcote tearing open the Gloucester defence before sending Kyle Eastmond through under the posts to put the Blue, Black and White in front at half-time.

With 30 minutes left on the clock, the Cherry and Whites were reduced to 14 men, with Darren Dawidiuk given his marching orders for dangerous play.

Biggs was back in the thick of things, as he finished off a well-worked move on the left wing to put Bath in control. Jonny May ensured a tense finale at the Rec with his second of the game, but Bath held on to clinch a six-point victory.

2015 – BATH 50 GLOUCESTER 30

It was another high scoring affair in 2015, with 80 points being scored by the two sides in a thrilling encounter at the Rec. First half tries from Kyle Eastmond, George Ford and Sam Burgess gave Bath a narrow 21-13 lead at half-time, before the Blue, Black and White ran riot in the second half.

Ollie Devoto, Anthony Watson, Semesa Rokoduguni and a late effort from Horacio Agulla, made it a day to remember for the Bath Rugby supporters.

The win was enough to set Bath up for a home play-off semi-final against Leicester Tigers, with Bath recording an equally-impressive 47-10 triumph a week later.

2017 – Bath 21 Gloucester 22

Gloucester came out of the blocks quickly with the visitors breaking from their own half before Henry Trinder sent Willi Heinz over the whitewash with just four minutes on the clock. Bath replied through the talismanic Semesa Rokoduguni, as the winger combined with Anthony Watson to cross in the corner nine minutes later. Priestland added a penalty 14 minutes before the interval to give the Blue, Black and White a narrow lead at the interval.

Priestland then exchanged penalties with Owen Williams early in the half before Heinz crossed for his second of the game. Rokoduguni looked like he’d given Bath the victory adding to his early effort, before Gloucester dealt a devastating blow four minutes into the red. After 11 phases on the Bath line, Ed Slater crossed from close range, with Williams adding the crucial conversion.
