The Bath Rugby Number 8 played a major part in Wales’ title-winning success and has been selected by an expert panel of 12 journalists.

Playing some of the best rugby of his career in Blue, Black and White and for his country, Faletau was an ever-present in the tournament, impressing throughout.

In Round 2, he made 19 tackles in a superb defensive effort as Wales edged out Scotland by a point and two weeks later he was named Guinness Six Nations Player of the Match for an outstanding performance against England in Round 3.

Faletau was at the heart of everything Wales did. He carried 18 times – eight more than any other player in red – and gained a team-high 112 metres. He also shone against Italy – crossing for a try - and France, helping Wales to another title.

Whilst starring on the international stage, the 30-year-old was equally as brilliant at club level in the fallow weeks.

Faletau is nominated alongside: Tadhg Beirne (Ireland), Antoine Dupont (France), Robbie Henshaw (Ireland), Louis Rees-Zammit (Wales) and Hamish Watson (Scotland).
