Young prop Ioan Emanuel will link up with Wales Under-18s as part of a 38-player development squad which will take on Scotland this weekend.

The match forms part of Wales’ preparations for the U18 Six Nations Festival to be staged in Dublin in April.

Emanuel was a key cog in Bath Under-18s’ six-match winning run at the start of 2023, packing down at loosehead in a formidable front row.

Head of Academy Craig Lilley said: “Ioan had an excellent season for us at Under-18 level and deserves his opportunity in the Wales squad.

“Like the England players selected, we’re extremely proud of his selection and we’re confident the experience will enhance his skills and provide a great development platform for him.”
