With Wasps and Worcester Warriors no longer taking part in the competition, a league-wide decision was made to ensure better spacing of home games for clubs, Premiership Rugby Cup matches are on weekends and there are appropriate rest weekends for players.

Following Bath Rugby’s already scheduled home match against Newcastle Falcons on Saturday 31 December 2022 (kick-off 15:00), the Blue, Black and White will have a bye week at the beginning of 2023.

After back-to-back matches in the European Challenge Cup, Johann van Graan’s side will return to Premiership action on Friday 27 January on the road at Sale Sharks, a match live on BT Sport.

The first two weekends in February see a league-wide rest weekend and the Premiership Rugby Cup semi-finals before Bath host London Irish on the weekend of 17 February.

The West Country derby against Bristol Bears will take place on the final weekend of February with the age-old rivalry with Leicester Tigers continuing at Welford Road in early March.

A trip to Franklin’s Gardens to take on Northampton Saints is in the offing the weekend of 10 March ahead of the Premiership Rugby Cup final a week later.

Exeter Chiefs visit The Rec in Round 21 and the away derby with Gloucester is in mid-April. Bath’s trip to Twickenham to face Harlequins is still penned in and the final game of the season is once again the first weekend in May where Bath will now host Saracens.
