It wasn’t an ideal start for Bath U18’s with Harlequins getting over after 14 minutes through full-back Louis Lynagh, giving the hosts an early lead, Luc Smith was unable to add the extras. [5-0]

The visitors applied their first points to the scoreboard three minutes from the interval. Bath had a strong attacking platform with a line-out just five metres out, the ball was taken well and a powerful rolling maul took play to just inches from the line.

The Bath forwards went through the phases patiently before flanker Xavier Hastings crashed over from close range. Orlando Bailey’s added the extras from the tee. [5-7]

Harlequins retook the lead two minutes later, Smith slotting three point to give his side a one point lead going into the break. [8-7]

Bailey put his side back in front with 43 minutes showing on the clock, sending a penalty from 22 metres out straight through the uprights. [8-10]

Bailey extended his sides lead from the tee eight minutes later, the fly-half continuing his 100% record from the tee, putting his side five points ahead going into the final 20 minutes. [8-13]

Another penalty from Bailey two minutes later was enough to give his side a hard-fought eight-point victory away from home. [8-16]
