The Bath Rugby quartet were integral to the U18s, where they finished third in the Premiership Rugby U18 Academy League as they edged Wasps U18s 52-48 in a 16-try thriller on finals day at Allianz Park, this cemented six win from seven in the campaign.

Max Ojomoh, who has also been one of Bath Rugby U18s standout performers this year has also been included in the squad to face France on Sunday 24th March.

The selections are a clear sign of the Bath Rugby player pathway and it’s partnerships having developed in recent times, with four players from the partnership programme at Beechen Cliff School all being in the squad against Scotland. No other School in the country is represented in this way, which serves as a reinforcement of the work being done within this partnership and the core objectives of the programme.

Academy Manager Andy Rock said: "Ryan Davis and the wider staff from Bath Rugby, including S&C coach Alan Murdoch and Physiotherapist Conor Farrell have all contributed significantly to the programme and the development of these young men and we are delighted for everyone that this has been recognised. We are excited for all of these players to get this opportunity"

"This news follows John Stewart having been involved in an U17 South vs. U17 North fixture on Sunday March 3rd, alongside other Bath Academy players Ethan Staddon (Beechen Cliff School) and Ewan Richards (Millfield). It is fantastic for John to now have another opportunity within the England pathway, and we also have a firm belief that Ewan and Ethan will progress on to further international honours in the future. They have both been outstanding across the Academy season and have impressed us all both on and off the field"

Max is really beginning to fulfil his potential as a player, and has learnt a lot about himself and about the game during his U17 and U18 years with us here at the club. For King Edwards School and for Craig Lilley who leads the Rugby programme at the school it will be huge reward for the support they have given Max. King Edwards have been incredible to work with over this past two years in support of Max’s development and they have always put his interests first, which has helped us all to maximise opportunities to provide Max the right things at the right time to aid his development. It’s been on of the best examples I have ever experienced of working in partnership with a School to support a high potential player in both their sporting ambitions and their education.
