Founded in 1865, Bath is one of the oldest rugby union clubs in existence. It is a club steeped in history with a proud heritage of success, a unique position within the World Heritage City of Bath and a special relationship with its residents and supporters.

Throughout the 2015/2016 season a series of commemorative events will be held which mark this significant milestone. These events will shine a spotlight on the Club's colourful characters from the past and present: its founding members, the Bath Rugby men who bravely fought and died in uniform, and the all-conquering sides of the 80s and 90s through to today's team, which has revived its predecessors' attacking brand of rugby to the delight of supporters.

The 150th proceedings will begin on Saturday 8th August with a community rugby festival, with free entry for all the family, at the Recreation Ground. It will be a day full of activities, including: Tots Tag and Touch Rugby for the kids; kicking and passing clinics with first team players (charges apply for clinics); an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the team changing rooms; a Q&A with Head Coach Mike Ford and much more.

Bath Rugby has always been intrinsically linked to the City of Bath and the 'Bath Family' has been central to our existence over the past 150 years. As such, we are delighted to be kicking off with the community festival on the Rec and we would look forward to inviting everyone down to celebrate with us throughout the season".
