England v Scotland

Jonathan Joseph scored a hat-trick of tries as England retained their RBS 6 Nations title with a 61-21 victory over Scotland at Twickenham.

His Bath teammate Anthony Watson, who came on as a first half replacement also touched down for a try of his own as England equalled New Zealand’s world record for consecutive test victories.

George Ford also played an integral role for England at fly-half, with a Grand Slam now the focus for Eddie Jones’ side.

Wales v Ireland

Luke Charteris and Taulupe Faletau both made an impact as second half replacements, as Wales bounced back from two consecutive defeats to beat Ireland 22-9 at the Principality Stadium.

It was a charge down from Faletau in the closing stages of the game that proved significant, with Jamie Roberts picking up the loose ball to score and put daylight between the two teams.

England U20 v Scotland U20

England U20 followed the senior side winning the Six Nations title courtesy of a 33-5 triumph over Scotland at Franklin’s Gardens.

Bath Rugby’s Zach Mercer was once again influential throughout, as the number eight produced a moment of brilliance to send scrum half Harry Randall through for England’s second try.

In the second half, Mercer found himself on the scoresheet with eight minutes to play to give England a bonus-point victory as the captain took advantage of an error from Scotland fly-half Jack Henderson.

Mercer’s Bath teammate Josh Bayliss, was also involved in England’s matchday squad with the duo’s attention now turning to a potential Grand Slam against Ireland on Friday.

Wales Women v Ireland Women

Caryl Thomas started for Wales Women against Ireland Women, but was unable to prevent her side from falling to a 12-7 defeat.

In a hard-fought game at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park, it was Ireland’s Hannah Tyrrell’s second half try, which proved to be the difference.
