Bath Rugby and Bath Rugby Foundation yesterday welcomed members of Bath Gateway Out and About for a session of tag rugby to show their support for Sport Relief 2014.
Funded by Comic Relief, Bath Gateway Out and About provides social and leisure activities for disabled and underprivileged adults.
28 members from the project joined Matt Banahan, Dave Attwood and Anthony Perenise and the Bath Rugby Foundation coaches at Bath Leisure Centre to raise awareness and encourage people to enter the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games and raise money to help projects like Bath Gateway.
Becky Morgan, Development Officer at Bath Gateway Out and About, said: “We are so glad to have Bath Rugby show their support for us, it has been great for our members to be able to come down today to meet some of their heroes. We have all had a lot of fun.”
Dave Attwood, Bath Rugby and England second row, said: “Today has been all about inclusive sports and we are urging people of all abilities to sign up to their local Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games event. The most important thing is to have fun with friends and family, and raise some vital cash!”
With just a few days left to enter, the public can make every mile count by choosing to run, swim or cycle as part of the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games across the weekend of Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd March 2014. The money raised will help change the lives of vulnerable people here in the West, across the UK and the world, so join the fun and games today at sportrelief.com.
