100 not out for Catt

28 March 2014

It’s a double celebration at Bath Rugby tonight, with two huge milestones being hit in one game.

Not only is star fullback Nick Abendanon preparing for his 200th appearance, but loosehead Nathan Catt, who is just 26, is aiming to mark his 100th run out in the Blue, Black and White, if called upon from the bench against Sale Sharks this evening (kick-off 19.45).

"Fingers crossed, I should make my 100th appearance tonight and it will be a hugely proud moment for me and one I am really looking forward to," Catt said.

"This is my local Club and I’ve been here a long time so to hit this milestone at the Rec will be a fantastic achievement.

"Obviously since I have been playing Bath has won a European trophy and reached a Premiership semi-final but I think it has never felt more positive than it does now.

"Everyone is buying into what we are doing and there is a real bond in the squad. For a while now, we’ve been building the right environment and now you can see that we’re really getting somewhere.

"We are heading in the right direction both on and off the pitch, and hopefully that can continue this season."
