Women & Girls' Performance Hubs

BATH RUGBY IS DELIGHTED TO LAUNCH FOUR PERFORMANCE HUBS

These pilot hubs continue our pledge to develop a sustainable and inclusive pathway to the elite game across our region for players and coaches - in preparation for our bid to enter the Allianz Premier 15s in 2023/24 season.

Bath Rugby endeavours to provide local, homegrown players with the opportunity to thrive and compete in the Blue, Black and White.

HOW TO NOMINATE

NOMINATION CRITERIA

Nominees do not need rugby union experience, we welcome and encourage nominations for players who are new to the sport but demonstrate excellence in a B.A.T.H characteristic.

Nominations are also welcomed for players who are not currently stand out performers but possess the potential to demonstrate excellence in Basics, Athleticism, Tactical Awareness and Heart.

The principle for Performance Hubs is to identify players with long-term potential and provide monthly sessions where they can improve and take away learnings to their club/school environment. These hubs are not fixture or competition-based, as a group they will not play fixtures against other teams, but there will be opportunities to learn from others through joint training sessions and activities in the 2022/23 season.

FAQS

Who can nominate players?

Players can be nominated by their school, club or county coaches. Alternatively, players can be scouted by a member of Bath Rugby or the Bath Rugby community coaching team. Players will need to show excellence in one of the following: Basics, Athleticism, Tactical awareness and Heart.

What if the player is unavailable for these dates?

These are pilot hubs that will help familiarise players, coaches and parents with the nomination and selection process. As well as helping Bath Rugby assess how many hubs will be needed for the 2022/23 season. From August 2022, Bath Rugby aim to have a monthly Performance Hub (to be confirmed - depending on the success of the four pilot events in May 2022) for nominated players.

Therefore, there will be a fresh opportunity to nominate players for the start of the new season.
