Director of Rugby

Blackadder joined Bath Rugby as the Club’s Director of Rugby in July 2016 after spending seven years in charge of Super Rugby franchise Crusaders.

The former second row, who captained New Zealand on 14 occasions during his playing career, led the Crusaders to three Super Rugby titles before spending three years with Edinburgh Rugby from 2001-2004.

Blackadder spent a year as the Assistant Coach with the Scottish side, departing for Tasman RFU, where he was Director of Rugby in 2008.

Todd Blackadder today announced that he will leave Bath Rugby at the end of the season. The Director of Rugby has been granted early release from his one-year contract extension in order to allow him to join Toshiba in Japan as Head Coach. Read more
