Greg Roe

Academy Athletic Performance Manager

Greg hails from Ireland and studied for a BsC in Sports Rehabilitation at the Institute of Technology, Carlow before going on to complete a Masters degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton.

Greg was a Physiotherapist for the Bradford Bulls from 2013–2014 before joining Yorkshire Carnegie where he worked for three years as Head of Academy Rehabilitation and Strength & Conditioning. Whilst at Yorkshire Carnegie, Greg studied towards a PhD in conjunction with Leeds Becket University which looked at the training load and match induced fatigue within Academy Rugby Union Players. Greg finished his PhD Thesis in the Autumn of 2017 and has to date published over twenty five articles in a variety of Scientific journals.

In his role at Bath Rugby, Greg leads on Academy Sports Science and monitoring which includes overseeing the ‘return to play’ process for Academy players who have been injured.
