The role of the Bath Rugby Academy is to identify and develop talented young athletes from age 13 to 23 and engage them in a Performance development programme. Players join the Academy through a variety of routes, with the Developing Player Programme serving as the entry point to the talent pathway for Bath Ruby.
Since February 2002 and the introduction of the RFU's Regional Academy programme, Bath Rugby Academy has developed a number of high quality young players from our designated region.
The Bath Rugby Academy has developed a strong history of developing home grown talent with a number of academy graduates now involved with the Club's first team squad.

Bath Rugby and Beechen Cliff School are working in partnership to develop promising young rugby players in the Bath Rugby catchment area.
The DPP engages players aged 13 – 16 years old and is a development programme which interacts with and complements school, club and county playing programmes, to provide further development opportunities for young players without the conflict of competition.

The Player Development Group (PDG) offers weekly coaching, conditioning and specialist support from Bath Academy Staff.
