The 29-year-old Australian joined Bath Rugby in March 2017 having recently played for Top 14 side ASM Clermont Auvergne.
Charles is no stranger to the West Country having spent a short spell with Gloucester Rugby in between his 83-game stint for Super Rugby's Western Force. In 2014, Charles made his international debut foe Australia against France and has since gone on to win a further three caps for the Wallabies.
The hooker is also the only professional rugby player to have played at the highest level with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease, which impacts the respiratory tract. A national ambassador for Cystic Fibrosis in Australia, Charles has fast become a source of inspiration to everyone fighting the condition.
