Since debuting for Bath Rugby, Josh Bayliss has been a standout, not only on the pitch but off it too.

A homegrown Academy graduate, he possesses a great amount of pride and passion for the city and the community, and puts everything into wearing the Blue, Black and White of Bath for that reason.

An exciting back rower with a capability of playing at blindside flanker, openside flanker or Number 8, Bayliss’ performances since breaking in the Senior Squad caught the eye of Scotland for whom he qualifies via his Aberdeen-born grandmother.

He debuted for the Scots in the 2021 Autumn Nations Cup against Australia, earning a crucial turnover towards the end to earn Scotland victory. He made his first start for his country a week later and earned rave reviews for his display against Japan.

Previous to that, Bayliss represented England at Under-20 level and helped the side win a Six Nations Grand Slam as well as reach the 2017 World Rugby U20 Championship final.

A burst of pace, pure strength and power mixed with a fantastically humble personality, Bayliss continues to be an incredible individual for Bath Rugby and a role model for those coming through the pathway.
