Bayliss to become Bath Rugby centurion against Exeter Chiefs

23 December 2022

Josh Bayliss will earn his 100th Bath Rugby appearance when the Blue, Black and White travel to Exeter Chiefs on Saturday.

The 25-year-old came all the way through the club’s pathway, debuting for the senior side in 2016, and has gone on to become an integral member of the squad, as well as a full international for Scotland.

Starting at Number 8, he will be joined in the back row by Ted Hill and Sam Underhill – the latter making his first appearance of the season.

Loosehead prop Lewis Boyce is also set for a milestone outing, hitting 50 games for Bath, in a front row containing tighthead D’Arcy Rae and hooker Tom Dunn who committed his future to the club on Thursday.

Second rows Will Spencer – his first Gallagher Premiership start of the campaign - and Fergus Lee-Warner complete the pack.

Louis Schreuder and Orlando Bailey pair up in the half-back slots while Cameron Redpath and Ollie Lawrence renew their centre partnership.

The back three sees full-back Matt Gallagher and wing Ruaridh McConnochie return with Joe Cokanasiga named in the 14 jersey.

On the bench, recent debutant Archie Griffin is set for his maiden Premiership match.
