Matawalu named in Fiji World Cup squad

24 August 2015

New Bath Rugby scrum-half Niko Matawalu has been named in Fiji's 31 man squad to contest the Rugby World Cup this year.

Fiji come into the tournament in good form having won the recent Pacific Nations Cup, and Matawalu could well face some of his Bath Rugby teammates in the opening game at Twickenham on September 18th when they take on England.

Head Coach John McKee said: "I am very pleased to announce a very strong and experienced team to represent Fiji at RWC2015.

"After the successful Pacific Nations Cup campaign and current training camp here in Fiji the squad is working well towards the challenges ahead in the UK at RWC2015."
