LAST TIME OUT
Owen Farrell enjoyed a winning return for Saracens as he kicked the defending Gallagher Premiership Rugby champions to victory over Bath Rugby.
The England international finished with a 20-point haul in his first game back after his Rugby World Cup exploits in Japan as the visitors came away from The Rec with a valuable 25-12 triumph.
Bath had taken the lead three times during the first half through Rhys Priestland penalties but Farrell kept the scoreboard ticking over for the Men in Black.
Sean Maitland then went over for the only try on 33 minutes, converted again by Farrell, to give Mark McCall’s men a 16-9 lead going into the half-time interval.
Further Farrell penalties kept Bath at arm’s length and despite Maro Itoje seeing yellow in the final ten minutes, Stuart Hooper’s men were unable to close the gap.
