Attwood captains strong Bath Rugby side for Gloucester derby

25 September 2015

Bath Rugby have named the strongest team of their West Country Challenge Cup campaign so far for their match against Gloucester at the Rec tomorrow (kick-off 17:45).

Dave Attwood captains the side against his former team, with Tom Ellis joining him in the second row. Guy Mercer will operate on the openside, Max Northcote-Green is on the blindside and Leroy Houston packs down at the base of the scrum. A strong front row is comprised of Nick Auterac, Ross Batty and Henry Thomas.

The half-back pairing of scrum-half Chris Cook and fly-half Kyle Eastmond promises much creativity, as does Ollie Devoto at inside centre. Outside Devoto is Matt Banahan, who will provide a real threat in the outside channel.

Semesa Rokoduguni and Jeff Williams are on the wings, with Tom Homer at fullback.

The derby fixture takes place as part of the Club’s Festival of Rugby, alongside the free Red Bull Uni 7s. Following the match, the Club will be screening the Rugby World Cup match between England and Wales on screens around the ground.

Season Ticket Holders: please remember to bring your season tickets in order to gain access to the ground. They will have been automatically been uploaded from last season.
