Staddon has been one of our most improved and most consistent performers within the Academy this season. It is rare to find somebody of his potential size and strength who moves so incredibly well around the field and he has showcased his physicality and athleticism in all positions he has played.
Staddon attacks and defends with the same passion and his desire to make an impact on the game has resulted in some impressive performances, this being recognised by his selection for England age groups.
Staddon has developed his skills within the set piece whilst playing in the second row during the U18 Academy League, but his ability to play across the back row is a major strength. There’s no doubt that Ethan can bring a new dimension to how we want to play the game in the future with his versatility, ability to ball carry, to offload the ball and produce quick ball within the contact area.
Staddon’s attributes off the field are also predictive of a bright future, his capacity to learn quickly and challenge himself to improve are consistently there for us to see, and his ambitions off the field are just as lofty as those on it.
