From a pure physical perspective there is no doubt that Griffin is one of the biggest players we will have in the Academy, which bodes well for him as a developing tighthead prop. Griffin has already played for Wales U18s and U20s numerous times.
His passion for the game and for performing as a part of the team here at Bath, alongside his ambition to reach the very top as a Premiership player and an international is no doubt going to underpin the next stage of his development. His size, strength and technical ability in the scrum can see him become a destructive scrummager, with time on his side, there will be a clear focus in the coming years to help Archie develop his craft as a front rower whilst fulfilling his physical potential.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about Griffin in the context of his size is his ability to move and attack space, to break tackles and to use footwork and evasion to beat defenders. He has got a huge amount of potential in the game, as he has so many impressive attributes that span across Attack, Defence and Set-Piece.
Griffin has the ability to attack in many different ways, he can pass before the line and bring others into the game, commonly creates the space and momentum to offload after contact and due to his athleticism, he is developing his game and ability to impact it all the time.
