Will Butt

Position: Centre
Date of birth: 15 January 2000
Birthplace: Winchester, England
Height: 190cm (6' 3")
Weight: 105kg (16st 7lb)

Will Butt began his Bath Rugby journey as a 14-year-old and went on to study A Levels at Canford School alongside playing in the Bath Rugby Academy.

Coming through the club’s University pathway and captaining the Under-18s, he has produced some dazzling displays for the University of Bath in BUCS Super Rugby in recent years.

With no Premiership Rugby Cup or Shield in 2020/21, game time became limited for Butt but when the opportunity to join Coventry on loan arose, he grasped it with both hands. He was one of the Championship sides standout performers in his six games for them and added a lot to their environment in terms of his leadership skills. During his spell at the Butts Park Arena, Butt equalled a club record for most tries in one second-tier match, scoring four against Jersey Reds.

Since graduating to the Senior Squad in the summer of 2021, Butt has excelled when he has earned his opportunity to play for the Blue, Black and Whites, and has made his debut in both the Premiership and in Europe.

A centre by trade, Butt has proved his capabilities on the wing with a strong kick-chase and work rate.
