Jaco Coetzee joined Bath Rugby with an ambition of emulating childhood hero Francois Louw by making over 100 appearances for the club.
The South African joined the Blue, Black and White from Super Rugby franchise The Stormers and spent the second half of the 2020/21 season learning the Bath way as well as recovering from a knee injury.
A family man, Coetzee debuted against Sale Sharks on the opening day of the 2021/22 season and possesses impressive stopping power and physical play at the breakdown.
He brings significant attacking capabilities as a destructive ball-carrying Number 8 whilst also offering versatility with ability to play at blindside and openside.
