When will the season start?

The season is expected to start in September 2021. We look forward to being able to confirm exact dates soon.  

What are the benefits of a 2021/22 season ticket?

This season, all adult season ticket products will include a £50 Club Membership. NextGen season tickets will include a £25 NextGen Club Membership. These membership products will provide our Season Ticket Holders with a list of exclusive benefits.

How confident are you that next season will be ‘normal’ - with spectators at every game?

The current roadmap out of lockdown from the UK Government is on track.

Pilot events are currently being planned for April, followed by a move to crowds of "up to 10,000 people or 25% of total seated capacity, whichever is lower" in stadiums for sporting events - not before the 17 May.

The next step in the roadmap, not before the 21 June, is the removal of all legal limits on social contact, the reopening of any remaining closed settings and enabling large events above the capacity restrictions to take place.

The UK Government is currently on course to deliver both vaccines doses to all adults by September 2021.

With these steps in place and plenty of time between the 21 June and the start of the 2021/22 rugby season, we can confidently begin planning to fully reopen the stadium.

What is Bath Rugby doing to make sure that the Rec is safe for us to return to?

If you came to the Scarlets fixture back in December you will know that we worked hard to ensure the safety of our supporters, staff and players.

Feedback from the game was extremely positive, with almost 99% saying they felt safe or very safe and would want to return to the Rec again, when permitted.

Your safety is our absolute priority. Please find below the actions we will take, if required, to protect you at the Rec:

  • Wherever possible we will create additional space for queueing outdoors
  • Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the grounds for the foreseeable future
  • Some routes to the Rec will be streamlined to avoid points where supporters might cross on their approach to the grounds
  • We will always operate within UK Government guidelines around the wearing of face coverings. You will always be welcome to wear one regardless of the guidelines.

We will continue to follow all UK Government guidance regarding safety at sporting events and will put the health and wellbeing of our supporters at the forefront of everything we do.

We have been certified as a Covid Safety Certified Venue by the National Tourist Organisation.

If I don’t feel safe to come to the Rec, what does this mean for me?

Whilst we appreciate everyone has their own concerns, unfortunately, we cannot offer individual reimbursements match-by-match if the UK Government has declared it safe for crowds to return to sport.

Please rest assured we will be doing everything we can to make sure the Rec is a safe environment.

Upon renewal there is still the option of ticket exchange and ticket forwarding if you are not ready to return to the Rec in September 2021.

There will be membership products launching later this year which will give you access to purchase tickets on a match-by-match basis.

However, there is no guarantee of securing a ticket, and you will not be able to purchase the seat you had as a Season Ticket Holder.

What if games are postponed again?

If games are postponed, your season ticket remains valid for the re-arranged date.

What happens if a game is cancelled?

If Premiership Rugby or European Rugby announces that a game has been cancelled due to Covid-19, Season Ticket Holders will be eligible for a game credit, and will be contacted with details of how to claim.

What will happen if games are forced to be played behind closed doors again?

If the UK Government determines that crowds at sporting events must be suspended due to Covid-19, Season Ticket Holders will be credited on a match-by-match basis for any fixture cancelled or played behind closed doors.

Credits will be applied to your account at two different points throughout the season. 

How will the season tickets work if games are played with restricted crowd numbers?

If there are any further changes to the UK Government guidelines, or social distancing measures are put in place for the 2021/22 season, we will act in accordance with the requirements and communicate how we will allocate seating with a reduced crowd.

We will accommodate our 2021/22 Season Ticket Holders as a priority for these reduced events.

Through this process, all Season Ticket Holders will be entered into a ballot, which means you are not guaranteed the same area of seating.

Wheelchair users will be balloted separately for fixtures with limited capacity. The same percentage ratio of supporters will be applied to this ballot process.

If you have accessibility requirements, please enter the ballot as normal and contact the Supporter Services team by email ( to make them aware of your requirements, if you are successful at securing a balloted ticket.

What if I can’t attend a fixture due to it being behind closed doors, or if I don’t get a ticket in the ballot for a game played with restricted crowds?

Any Season Ticket Holder who cannot attend a game due to it being played behind closed doors, or with a restricted crowd who has not successfully been allocated a ticket in the ballot, will be credited on a match-by-match basis.  


If I’m not happy returning to the Rec yet, can I take another season ticket holiday to guarantee my place for the 2022/23 season?

The season ticket holiday was made available only for the 2020/21 season, owing to exceptional circumstances presented by the pandemic.

We have a long waiting list of supporters who would like to become a Season Ticket Holder and will be resuming our normal process.

If you would like to have the option of purchasing a season ticket for the 2022/23 season, you will need to purchase a Club membership.

Not only will the membership keep you up-to-date with all the club news, it will also give you priority access to season tickets for the 2022/23 season.

What is the early bird deadline?

All Season Ticket Holders who renew their season ticket for the 2021/22 season by 23:59 on Monday 17 May will automatically qualify for the early bird price.

How do I renew?

As a 2019/20 Season Ticket Holder it is very simple to renew.

STEP 1 Log into your e-ticketing account using your client reference and password at

STEP 3 Proceed with payment – the same seat you had in 2019/20 will be secured

Can I change the name on my existing season ticket?

You can manage your name and address details within your online e-ticketing account. Simply log onto your account via

Can I relocate or upgrade my existing season ticket?

We will do everything we can to accommodate any seat move requests - subject to availability.

You will need to complete the online application form and we will process your application during the seat mover window.

Please note: if you have applied to move your season ticket before 23:59 on Monday 17 May, you will qualify for the early bird offer despite the seat mover period being at the end of the renewal window.

What price category do I fall into?

Price categories have changed slightly this season, so to help you work out what category you fall into, here is a quick overview:

  • Adult - supporters aged 26-64 years
  • Senior - supporters aged 65 and over
  • Young adult - supporters aged 17-25 years
  • Junior – supporters up to the age of 16. Must be booked with a full paying adult Season Ticket Holder. Under 2s will not require a seat and will be classed as ‘babes in arms’.

Please note: GOLD Young Adult, Senior or NextGen (junior) season tickets are only available to supporters who are renewing a season ticket. There will be no new GOLD Young Adult, Senior, NextGen (junior) season tickets available to purchase.

The pricing categories have been designed following extensive research and feedback from our supporters through both surveys and focus groups. As a result, some season ticket products have been discontinued for the 2021/22 season.

I am a Season Ticket Holder who is disabled or has specific accessibility requirements. What is the process for me renewing my season ticket?

If you are happy with your current season ticket seat you can renew as normal by logging into your e-ticketing account. If you wish to move seats due to a specific accessibility requirement, please email 

If I am not currently a Season Ticket holder - how do I become one?

A Bath Rugby Club Membership offers the best opportunity to becoming a Season Ticket Holder for the 2021/22 season. Club Members are given priority access to any season tickets that become available.

If you purchased a Club Membership in 2020/21, or a Premium Membership in 2019/20, you will be given first refusal on any season tickets that become available from Monday 14 June.

You do not need to complete the waiting list form if you are an existing Club or Premium Member.

When will my season ticket arrive?

If you have an existing physical season ticket we will add the 2021/22 season ticket access to this card.

Otherwise, from this season onwards, we will be issuing digital-only season ticket cards - there will be no new physical season ticket cards issued free of charge.

If you have lost your season ticket card and require a new one, a £10 charge will be payable to cover the cost of printing, postage & packaging. 

When is the renewal deadline?

The deadline to guarantee the same seat(s) - i.e. where you were sat during the 2019/20 season - is Sunday 30 May at 23:59. After this date we cannot guarantee you your seat.

Please note: by booking before Monday 17 May, you will qualify for the early bird discount price. Otherwise, even if you are renewing your ticket, you will be charged the standard season ticket price for the 2021/22 season.

I do not have a smart phone or a computer, but I would like to purchase a membership - how can this be done?

To minimise contact points between supporters, staff and players, we have moved away from paper ticketing to an entirely digital process.

An email address will therefore be required to purchase a season ticket.

What if I cannot make it to a match?

This season we are launching the option of ticket forwarding for all Season Ticket Holders.

Ticket forwarding will allow a 2021/22 Season Ticket Holder the option to forward their season ticket to another supporter, on a match-by-match basis, only if they are unable to attend the fixture themselves.

Please note: season ticket terms & conditions stipulate that strictly NO financial gain shall be made from forwarding on your season ticket.

There is no charge for this service however, valid email contact details will be required for the recipient, enabling us to forward on the digital season ticket for that fixture.

This season will also see the introduction of NextGen (junior) season ticket upgrades.

If a NextGen Season Ticket Holder is unable to attend a fixture, a fee can be paid for the NextGen (junior) season ticket to be upgraded to an adult ticket for that fixture. This upgrade will also be subject to a booking fee and will be based on the category of the fixture on a match-by-match basis.

Stewards on the entrance gates will check to ensure that tickets are being used by supporters of the correct age.

For a limited volume of fixtures, and only within certain categories, there is also the option of ticket exchange. Season Ticket Holders can add their ticket to the ticket exchange if they are unable to attend that fixture. The credit is only applied to the Season Ticket Holders’ account if the uploaded ticket is sold for that fixture.

Why have prices increased for the 2021/22 season?

We are committed to making the Rec as safe as possible for your return.

Covid-19 has required significant changes across the business, many incurring additional costs.

The small price increase on season tickets reflects the processes we have put in place throughout the 2020/21 season - and ahead of the 2021/22 season - to ensure your safety.

How can I pay for my season ticket?

There are two payment methods available for the 2021/22 season.

You can pay in full at the point of renewal.

You can opt to apply for our finance scheme and pay monthly for your season ticket.

Applications for the finance scheme will be available for eight or nine monthly instalments, depending on the date of application. All instalment plans will end in February 2022.

If you are a 2019/20 Season Ticket Holder, please check your account balance on, as you may still have remaining credit - if this was your chosen method of refund from the 2019/20 season.

Outstanding credit can also be used towards the cost of your season ticket for the 2021/22 season. The amount of credit you would like to apply to your account is selected at the point of payment.

Can I renew and pay online?

Yes – simply go to your eticketing account and follow the step-by-step instructions.


Can I spread my payments out?

The eight or nine monthly payment instalments through our finance scheme partner is the only alternative payment plan offered for season tickets in the 2021/22 season.

Do I have to pay the full amount at point of booking?

Yes, unless you apply for our finance scheme, which involves eight or nine monthly payment instalments. Please see above for more information.

Why have I been charged a booking fee?

The £3.50 (including VAT) per season ticket booking fee is a third-party processing charge and is non-refundable.

Can I use my current credit in payment for next season's season ticket?

If you are a 2019/20 Season Ticket Holder and, in June 2020, you opted to receive account credit for the remaining fixtures that season (which you were not permitted to attend due to the Covid-19 pandemic) please log in to your e-ticketing account and check your account balance.

You may still have remaining credit on your account, which can be used towards the cost of your season ticket for the 2021/22 season.


Can I still donate my credit to the club instead of using it against my new season ticket?

Some of our supporters are still generously asking how they can help the club following these difficult times.

If I choose not to renew can I have any outstanding credit refunded?

The refund window closed on June 30 2020. Account credit can, however, be used against match tickets, hospitality and purchases in the Bath Rugby Club shop.

What communications will I receive as a Season Ticket Holder?

If you are opted in to receive marketing emails from the club, you will be sent all communications from Bath Rugby including team news, specific member newsletters and updates, retail announcements and much more.

However, if you unsubscribe to all communications, this will remove you from ALL general communications from Bath Rugby.

This includes any membership or club marketing emails from which you are a member, however, you will continue to receive email messages related to specific transactions from Bath Rugby.

You are not required to consent to receiving promotional emails, texts, or calls as a condition of using or purchasing Bath Rugby tickets or memberships.

If you are currently unsubscribed, and would like to receive emails from the club, you can resubscribe at any time by updating your eTicketing account.

Once you are logged in, head to MY ACCOUNT > UPDATE PERSONAL DETAILS > NEWS DELIVERY PREFERENCES and select the relevant boxes and press save.

Is there a welcome gift included with my season ticket?

Next season (2021/22), we are offering all adult Season Ticket Holders an exclusive welcome gift, which can be purchased at the point of renewal. The welcome gift is optional.

Each welcome gift will be Bath Rugby branded and will include a reference specific to the 2021/22 season.

These products will not be available to purchase in the Bath Rugby Club shop; they are exclusively available to our Season Ticket Holders.

I want to renew my season ticket but sit in a different seat, what do I do?

You can request to move seats until Sunday 30 May.

If you would like to upgrade or change your seat, you will need to fill in the online application form and we will process your request during the seat mover window.

If you are a Season Ticket Holder with specific accessibility requirements and you have applied to move seats, we will recommend the best entrance and exit routes for that seat depending on if your application is successful.

Am I able to purchase a season ticket for a child under the age of 4?

All children under the age of 2 do not require a ticket so can attend with a parent who has a valid matchday ticket.

If you are enquiring about a season ticket for your child between the age of 2-4, a normal NextGen season ticket will be required but this will need to be purchased via a phone call with our Supporter Services team and not online.
