Ahead of the next Gallagher Premiership fixture at the Rec, we profile three of the Northampton players to watch when the Saints travel to the West Country on Saturday 22nd September.
Biggar moved to Northampton Saints at the beginning of the 2018/19 season following 11 years at the Ospreys. Haskell has spent the majority of his career playing for Wasps in the Premiership, before swapping Coventry for Northampton over the summer. During his two spells at Wasps, he made over 200 appearances and has won 77 caps for England, winning three Six Nations titles. The vastly experienced back rower, has also featured in two Rugby World Cup squads, and will be looking to force his way into contention for a third next year.
Lawes has spent his whole club career with Northampton Saints, making over 200 appearances since his first team debut in 2007. The 6ft 7in lock is known for his defensive ability and prominence at the set-piece, making him a danger to any opposition. The 29 year-old has been a mainstay in the England set-up making 65 appearances for his country. His form also saw him feature heavily on the British & Irish Lions tour in 2017, where he helped secure a historic series draw against New Zealand.
