Casual Staff

Who are we looking for?

We are on the search for reliable, friendly, and energetic people to join our food & beverage team for the duration of the season. Our supporters are at the heart of everything we do, and it is our job to provide the best level of service possible! Previous food & beverage experience is preferred but is by no means essential. We will make sure you are confident in your role ahead of your first shift with us.

What would I be doing?

There are various roles available from pouring pints and marshalling the bars to operating tills and interacting with our spectators. There is also the opportunity to work on our growing pre-order bars, as well as non-matchday events which can include set up shifts with our Operations team, lunches & dinners, and fine dining experiences at Farleigh House.

Where and how often would I be working?

Home fixtures take place at the Rec, in the centre of the Bath, approximately every fortnight from September to May. This can be more frequent during certain times of the year. Matches are mostly played on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The full fixture list for the 2022/23 season is available now.

One of the key benefits of a casual role is the flexibility. The ball is in your court. You bid for the shifts you can work.

I haven’t worked behind a bar before. Does that matter?

Definitely not. Everyone starts somewhere. You will be in a bar with others who have worked before along with a manager and/or supervisor who will make sure you always feel comfortable and confident with what you’re doing.

How much will I be paid?

We offer a minimum pay rate of £9.50 p/h for anyone 18 or over, and £7.00 p/h if you’re under 18 (more than £2 above the legal minimum wage!). For New Year's Eve only, the minimum pay rate is enhanced to £12.00 p/h for anyone 18 or over, and £9.00 p/h if you're under 18.

You will also accrue holiday pay which will be paid to you by the Club at the end of each quarter.

What else is in it for me?

  • Invaluable experience for your CV
  • A fun and enjoyable atmosphere
  • An opportunity to develop with the possibility of becoming a supervisor and manager
  • Loyalty reward card scheme with a selection of prizes available at different milestones
  • Social events
  • Meet new people and make new friends in the process
