Bath Rugby is committed to providing an inclusive and enjoyable experience at the Rec, accommodating spectators with any form of disability.
The Rec offers wheelchair positions, easy access seating, toilet provisions and Accessibility Stewards to help enhance your visit on a matchday, as well as other services.
We understand that not all disabilities are visible, and we are committed to working with supporters to accommodate for individual and unique requirements.
Bath Rugby’s Accessibility Support Scheme enables supporters with a disability, or other specific requirements to have access to the facilities and services they require, to enhance their matchday experience. It is important that these services are protected for those who need it.
Once you are part of the Bath Rugby Accessibility Support Scheme, you may have access to the following services, as required:
Personal Assistant Tickets
Available free of charge for those who require a Personal Assistant.
If you require a specific route in, we can adjust the entrance gate shown on your ticket.
Specific Viewing Areas
Including wheelchair positions and easy access seating.
Available for those with hearing or sight difficulties.
The Rec is in close proximity to both Bath Spa Train Station and Park & Ride drop off points. All Great Western trains and Park & Ride buses are wheelchair accessible.
Parking is limited at The Rec, but we do our best to assist where possible. Where we cannot offer parking, we can advise on local car parks, drop off points or public transport.
These are available in each stand, ask a steward where the nearest one is, or locate on the map.
Drink Delivery Service
Accessibility Stewards can support in bringing a drink to your seat to avoid any difficulty in moving between seats and bars.
*This is currently dependent on COVID-19 safety procedures.
Bath Rugby matchday programmes are now available online for all supporters. You can access this here, from wherever you are sat.
Designated Accessibility Stewards
We have two designated Accessibility Stewards present on a matchday, based in the Gem (west) stand, and the Novia (south) stand. They can be seen in yellow his-vis bibs with “Accessibility Steward” on the back.
All supporters wishing to purchase accessible tickets must first register with Bath Rugby’s Accessibility Support Scheme.
This can be completed online, or if you would rather speak to a member of staff you can call Supporter Services on 01225 536900.
To join the Accessibility Support Scheme, please complete an Accessibility Requirement form, where you will be asked details of the services you require and supporting evidence before purchasing tickets.
Supporting evidence can be submitted by sending us copy by email or post. If you are not in receipt of any of the accepted documents, please send us any evidence you do have which will be assessed on its own merits. Each application will be assessed on a case by case basis as everyone’s requirements are unique.
