Every year the Bath Rugby Community Team host a variety of camps across Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset for boys and girls of all abilities aged U7s - U16s.
Below are you'll find the locations and dates of our next Bath Rugby Camps.
Our camps comply with the RFU age grade regulations and are used to help develop participant’s confidence, decision making, game understanding and spatial awareness. Skills taught will consist mainly of handling, support and evasion skills.
**If you have already booked on to one of the below camps, you will be hearing from us soon regarding rescheduling**
The camps will include a range of rugby skills, drills and activities as well as rugby related games and age group breakdown for specific sessions.
Registration will be at 9:30 and collection 15:30.
All participants will need to bring a packed lunch, water-bottle and weather appropriate rugby clothing. This should include trainers and boots, shorts and tracksuit bottoms, warm tops, mouth guard, waterproof top and a warm hat (and change of clothes if the weather is wet).
They are open to boys and girls, aged U7s to U14s (as of 01/09/2019), and we welcome all abilities. **However please note that U12s girls up will not be allowed to participate in mix gender contact.**
The camps encompass both technical and tactical aspects of the game. All activities are fun based, but with a focus on the development of all camp goers, whatever their level. Each age group's coaching is specifically tailored to meet the needs and requirements of that exact age group, with camps ranging from U7s-U16s. Along with our Rugby camps, we also run a series of Skills Clinics. These sessions provide participants an opportunity to focus on specific skills and techniques in a particular area. "The Bath Rugby Premiership Rugby Camps are a great way for those attending to learn new skills and techniques. I've seen first hand the opportunities the camps give children in terms of making new friends and taking them to the next level of their rugby journey."
Matt Garvey, Bath Rugby
"A huge, big, thank you to the Bath Rugby Community coaches for putting on such an amazing half-term camp. My child has not stopped going on about how much he enjoyed it! Not knowing any other children, he was a bit nervous, but the coaches made him feel very welcome, and after the first day, he loved it and came away learning lots. I cannot recommend your rugby camps highly enough and encourage any kid with a passion for rugby to attend.”
Douglas Crane, father of camp participant
