Girls Participation Hub

  • Our second Somerset Girls Participation Hub
  • Yeovil Rugby Club
  • Sunday 20th February, 10:30

Following our first hub at Bath RFC where we saw over 60 attendees from 12 different clubs, we are delighted to announce our second Girls Participation Hub is coming to Yeovil Rugby Club!

In partnership with Avon Protection, these hubs are helping to drive participation numbers in the Bath Rugby region and are open to any and all abilities. As our announcement in May highlights, we have pledged our commitment to the women and girls game in our region through four objectives: PLAY, SUSTAIN, PERFORM and PROMOTE. Our participation hubs are helping to achieve our PLAY objective through doubling participation in our region.

These sessions are led by Bath Rugby development coaches and will focus on a principle of play as well as a technical contact session, before finishing on a full contact game.

We are also pleased to include a coach CPD workshop and team manager workshop to all those in attendance, aimed to develop and give ideas to coaches, team managers and volunteers of the game.

  • 10:30 – Arrival and registration
  • 11:00 to 12:30 – Training session begins
  • 12:30-13:00 – Lunch
  • 13:00-13:30 – Contact warm up and technical session
  • 13:30-14:00 – Games

*There will also be a Coach Development Workshop once training begins at 11am* (please meet inside the clubhouse)

We kindly ask that all participants bring both lunch and water for the day, with every new attendee receiving an Avon Protection water bottle.
