Bath Rugby’s annual skills clinics return next week! The sessions provide a unique opportunity to learn some of the most essential skills and techniques, with expert guidance given from members of the first team squad.
The sessions, open to both boys and girls will be focusing on intricate abilities such as passing, kicking, tackling, the breakdown, and scrummaging.
All clinics are held at The Rec and cost just £30 per person (12-18 years)
Kicking Skills Clinic (Tuesday 23rd April – 18:00-19:30)
Supported by Freddie Burns, Tom Homer and Alex Davies
Kicking is a vital part of the game where you can gain points, relieve pressure and use it to find space on the pitch. You will learn how to kick at goal, attacking & defending kicks out of hand, as well as drop kicks. Don’t forget to ask Freddie about this kick!
Tackle and Breakdown Skills Clinic (Tuesday 23rd April – 18:00-19:30)
Supported by Elliott Stooke, Tom Ellis and Zach Mercer
This particular clinic explores the tackle selection, technique and safety. As well as focusing on decision making, competing for the ball in attacking breakdowns and securing the ball in defensive breakdowns.
Passing Skills Clinic (Tuesday 30th April – 18:00-19:30)

Our Passing Clinic provides participants the chance to learn a variety of different passing techniques and how to develop power, control and accuracy in your passing game. Members of the Bath Rugby first team will help you develop your spin pass, push pass, passing from the floor and offloading.
Set Piece Skills Clinic (Tuesday 30th April – 18:00-19:30)
Supported by Jacques Van Rooyen, Tom Dunn, Jack Walker and Charlie Ewels
This clinic gives a chance for young players to learn correct scrummaging and line-out techniques to aid with strength and safety. Members of the Bath Rugby first team will be on hand to pass on their knowledge and experience to show how correct techniques can significantly improve your game.
