At January's West Country derby between Bath v Gloucester, Duncan Bell took time out of his busy week to support the Bath Men's Walk, an annual event to raise funds for Bath Rugby Foundation and Dorothy House Hospice Care. He was joined by rising Club talent Zach Mercer to launch the event in front of the crowd at The Rec.
On Saturday 18th March, around 600 men will head down the canal tow path in the fifth annual Bath Men's Walk to raise vital funds for two well-loved, local charities. The eight-mile walk kicks off with registration at Dorothy House Hospice Care in Winsley at 11:00AM and takes around two hours. New for 2017, hot food and drinks will be available for walkers to buy at the start before they set off on the walk at Noon.
Following a pit stop at The George pub in Bathampton for essential refreshments, the Walk finishes at the Rec, the home of Bath Rugby, where walkers will enjoy a Six Nations screening, a free pie and a pint. Two matches will be screened: France v Wales at 2:45PM and England v Ireland at 5:00PM.
Participants in the Walk, which is once again being sponsored by Thrings solicitors, pay £25 to enter and also pledge to raise a further £50 for the two charities. To sign up please visit www.bathmenswalk.co.uk and in return you'll get a great day out and a free T-shirt.
