Bath Rugby can confirm Miles Reid has suffered a facial bone fracture.
The 22-year-old sustained the injury in training whilst on England duty on Wednesday and will now miss the summer series of international fixtures.
“Miles has had to overcome serious injuries before in his young career to date,” Director of Rugby Stuart Hooper said.
“During those times his professionalism and mental strength has been outstanding and there is no doubt he will come back even better prepared ahead of the Premiership season.
“We will support Miles in every way we can to ensure a safe and strong return to the field.”
