We’ve reached the time of year when most of us decide we should become a bit more active in an effort to get fitter.
Bath Rugby Foundation have organised a variety challenges this year, including walking, running, cycling and rowing, so why not take a look and see if you fancy getting involved!
In date order we can offer:-
Saturday 1st February. The Bath Mens Walk.
This is an eight mile walk from Dorothy House to The Recreation Ground, followed by a ‘pie & pint’ and the France v England 6 Nations match on the big screen.
Sunday 2nd March – The Bath Half Marathon
We can offer runners supporting the Foundation, hot showers, post-race food & massage, bag storage and changing facilities.
Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th April – Cycle to Gloucester
Depart from the Recreation Ground, cycle to Gloucester; watch the Gloucester v Bath Aviva Premiership match followed by a few beers, hotel accommodation, big breakfast and cycle back to the Rec on Sunday. (100 mile round trip)
Tuesday 10th – Sunday 15th June – Ride to the Sun
Tuesday - Fly to Geneva. On Wednesday depart Geneva and enjoy four glorious days of cycling and scenery arriving in Aix en Provence on Saturday, (340 miles). A celebration party on Saturday night and a flight home on Sunday 15th June.
Saturday 21st June – Jurassic Coast Walk
This is a challenging 22 mile walk along the Jurassic coastline in Dorset from Swanage to Lulworth Cove. With plenty of refreshment breaks and beautiful scenery topped off with a ‘big BBQ’ this will be a memorable day for all participants.
July – Dates TBC. – Ultimate Cornish Row
A wonderful opportunity to row in Cornish Gigs from Land’s End to the beautiful Isles of Scilly, a distance of approximately 28 miles.
