Wigan Warriors U19 centre Liam Forsyth has joined the Bath Rugby Academy with immediate effect, the Club can confirm.
The 19-year-old has played for Wigan for the past 18 months, having been raised in St. Helens, Merseyside.
Forsyth joins an exciting backs division in the Senior Academy, including fly-half Adam Hastings and fullback Darren Atkins.
“Liam is a very skilful player, but he’s also a physically gifted young lad,” says Mike Ford, Bath Rugby Head Coach. “He’s played a season of rugby union before, so it won’t be too much of a learning curve for him. He’s joining a group of very talented young English players here at the Club. Watching them develop together here is very exciting.”
